- Ep.3 RC/IC: "Getting Barreled" - La Flor declines to use the MoP, which would have given them two (of 10) barrels already with sandbags. Both tribes reach the sandbag-tossing stage at around the same time. Espada builds an early lead, but Tyrone starts missing, Benry starts hitting, and Jimmy T starts agitating to swap in. In the end he does, and it's close, but La Flor wins, 10-8.
- Ep.3 idol clue: Kelly B spots an idol clue in their fruit reward crate, but so does NaOnka. Both carry the crate back to camp, then break into a tussle over the clue. NaOnka yoinks it away, Kelly B comes up empty. NaOnka recruits Brenda's help in deciphering the clue, but they don't find the idol.
- Ep.3 Tribal: Jimmy Johnson voted out, 8-1 over Dan, who insists he's not one of the weaker players.
Episode 3 scoring notes
- Pretty straightforward stuff here. No sit-outs, no idols played. Although from a historical context, the edit making it appear that Jimmy Johnson was simply voted out, rather than asking to be, seems pretty misleading. Obviously the show couldn't show all of the pre-Tribal ballot wrangling, but it seems like Marty probably had enough votes to pull off the coup, and when that became clear, then Jimmy asked to be voted out as a face-saving move? Who knows, but it would have been nice to see that, in an otherwise stretched-too-thin episode. Also, Marty's decision (suggested by Jill) to make the idol a "tribe" idol in retrospect seems like a misfire. He won over Jimmy T, big deal.
Vote count:
- Jimmy J. received 8 votes, from Dan, Holly, Jane, Jill, Jimmy T., Marty, Tyrone, and Yve (voted out, 8-1).
- Dan received 1 vote, from Jimmy J.
