Challenges: MPF percentile
Tribal: VFB% percentile
Tribal: rVAP percentile
Performance ranks are a quick visual measure of the contestant's season vs. historical data from all prior contestants, in three basic (scorable) categories:
1. Performance in individual challenges (MPF), as a measure of "physical game";
2. Ability to vote people out consistently (VFB%, or VFB/TCA), or "strategic game"; and
3. Ability to avoid being voted against (rVAP, or TCA-VAP) - which scales better than a percentage would - for "social/strategic game."

Official CBS Survivor 49 bio excerpts, as preserved by Mike Bloom in Parade.com (August 20, 2025):
"3 Words to Describe You: Respectful, selfless, loving
"Why do you want to be part of Survivor? This show has been a staple in my family since I was a kid. This has always been a dream of mine. I’d like to set an example that nice people can finish first, to win $1 million for my son would be a dream come true.
"What’s one life experience you feel has prepared you for the game? Moving to Australia at 18 years of age and having to figure it out on my own. It helped me be able to adapt to my surroundings.
"Which previous player do you identify with the most? Joe, S48: Joe and I both put others before ourselves in every aspect of life. We are both in law enforcement and strive to make our families proud. We both don’t change our core values for a better shot in the game.
"What will you value in an alliance partner? I want my alliance partner to have strong family ties, respect for others, a true, wholesome demeanor, and strong core values.
"Favorite hobbies: Golf, taking my dogs for walks, motorcycle rides, and coaching Special Olympics
"Pet Peeves: People being late, people thinking they’re better than other people
"What is something we would never know from looking at you? Heavily involved in coaching Special Olympics in a volunteer position, I’m a big, soft teddy bear, I cry during most movies
"Who is your biggest inspiration and why? My father Ken. He always put my family first and made sure we were on the right path for success. He has a medical condition in his eyes called glaucoma; one eye is almost completely blind.
"Why will you be the Sole Survivor? Two motivations: Have my first child born while I’m on the show, will be the last season of Survivor my dad will be able to see."
