What is ChW?

ChW is the sum of total challenge wins, including tribal, team, and individual challenges, although players only get fractional credit for tribal and post-merge team wins. Also, Redemption Island duels count as half an individual win (for a first-place finish), and second- and third-place finishes (where those count for something) get half as many points as the rank above them (50% for 2nd place, 25% for 3rd place, and so on). So: total wins in all challenges, not just individual ones.

If this stat is not the digits you were looking for, you may also want to check out the more straightforward single-season and career leaders in individual challenge wins.

Unimportant note (2/21/19): We're probably going to deprecate this particular stat soon, and go to pure, counting-based tribal and individual challenge wins, with no fractions. At least for the purposes of ChW-related leaderboards.

Glossary of terms
  • ChW: Challenge Wins (individual challenges plus fractional tribal challenges).
  • ChA: Challenge Appearances. Used to calculate ChW%. Fractional for tribal challenges (same as ChW), except sit-outs get charged for an appearance, because they could have participated.
  • ChW%: Challenge Win%. Simply, ChW% = ChW / ChA.
