Tocantins episode 7 detailed boot spoilers/ speculation |
Here's
what we have so far:
The players most at risk, at least initially, on
the post-merge tribe are the four from Jalapão. But
of those four, as the future challenges/rewards
from the recap show, JT and Taj are clearly safe at least up
until the final eight (possibly final four), and Stephen, or
someone wearing his shorts, is present for an individual reward,
which is unlikely to happen this week.
This leaves Joe, the sole
member of his tribe remaining not to make Probst's Ep1 list of
series stars. Probst
also mentioned there was one medical evacuation this
season, and it seemed odd to us in Ep5 that Joe's knee injury
was shown, when JT losing (part of) a tooth was eminently more
memorable (and even in the title). When Joe's injury showed up
as an infection in Ep6, that further pointed to its importance,
and it seems fairly likely that, if he's not voted off first
(fake idol or no), Joe will be removed from the game in Ep7 for
medical reasons.
The only other person at immediate risk would appear
to be Tyson, who has no longevity spoilers, and is on the outside
of the Exile cross-tribal alliance, and has demonstrated himself
to be an individual challenge threat. But that seems more likely
fodder for the next episode.
Still, there is the slow process of accumulating
actual evidence, so more as more details emerge.
Update: The ads (and Probst himself)
make clear that the title refers to Coach's grandiose plan to
take out Brendan. Since (1) it looks like Joe leaves this week,
and (2) there's no way Coach wins this immunity challenge, it's
not obvious why Brendan would burn a hidden idol and merely take
out Joe (true, he could take out Lt. Tyson instead, and leave
Coach as an impotent goat, but that seems fairly complicated
for Survivor).
So either Coach sucks at getting anyone else on board with his
plot (possible), or he's foiled by Joe taking himself out of
the game sometime after the IC.
Updated update: From the Probst
preview, Joe
taking himself out seems pretty likely: "Also in this episode:
huge news, that affects at least one Survivor, in not such a
good way. This is a big episode."
