CBS
press
photos (released Friday) reveal this as "Shoulder the Load,"
which may be the exact name they used in Pearl
Islands for the
same challenge (actually, looks like it was called "Carry
that Weight"... as you can see, totally different challenge). Who
can forget that lawyer guy Probst fantasized about, whats-his-name,
straining under lots of weight? Meh, probably just about everyone.
So yeah, some people have to stand very still,
and avoid dropping lots of weight. Very exciting.

Who wins? Not sure yet. But "The Strongest Man Alive" seems to
refer to this challenge, so we'd guess it's one of the male competitors
who's last standing. The vidcaps above appear to be the RC arrival
(all six Timbiras present, anyway), so they're not especially
informative. But that's all we got from about 12 hours of CBS
sports + prime time over the weekend. Apparently CBS thought
the challenges were boring, too.
Popular consensus at MeSS seems
to be that Jalapao wins this one. We don't really see any evidence
for that, but in a contest over real strength, we'd guess rancher
JT probably has more working bulk than a gym-honed guy like Brendan,
the same way Tom's firefighting strength dominated in Palau.
Orangeena even
suggests that the
preview shot of Sydney massaging JT may come after Jalapao wins
this.
This all sounds reasonably plausible, so since
CBS didn't deign to air actual footage of the RC this week, we'll
go with that.
