This
is clearly the long-awaited Survivor Auction, in which the contestants
are given a wad o' cash, with which they're expected to bid on
various items: some good, some great, and some pretty crappy.
At least one twist is that one of the items is
a video on a smartphone from a loved one, upon which Taj places
the winning bid (which is the scene in the recap we've been waiting
for on the future challenges page). Not
too much else obvious from the post-Ep10 preview, apart from
Coach holding a glass of wine.
What's not clear is whether this is whether
an actual family visit takes place here. From the episode listing (which
references the episode title as well): "A tough decision
gives one castaway the chance to sacrifice personal comfort to
benefit the rest of the tribe." Like Matt's decision in Amazon to
sacrifice his mom's visit so the others could get one from their
loved ones? Since Taj got the video, it's probably her decision
to make.
Also
unclear (so far) is whether anyone gets exiled. Seems a bit cruel
when everyone knows there's no hidden idol, and since the only
way to do it would be to trick the contestants into bidding on
a fun-filled trip to exile. So we'd guess not, but you never
know. The producers could easily be that cruel. Unless the exilee
gets to have their loved one with them.

others.
