Notes: If you needed any further hints as to which way this season's final two was going to go down, the entire episode was scene after scene of even more people (Erinn, Brendan, Taj, Sierra) saying how much they love J.T., and how they, themselves, would be personally devastated if he was voted out this early. In contrast, poor Stephen was exiled for two days by himself, for no obvious reason, and with little social impact.
It was also an extremely odd Tribal Council. Brendan announced to all present that yes, he had the idol (only marginally goaded by Probst!), and then... failed to play it. A frustrating end for a guy who seemed to have all the necessary tools, had a great pre-merge game, then just fizzled out into nothing, just like the cross-tribal Exile alliance. Had he played the idol, Sierra would have been the first juror, and Brendan would have been in just as much trouble the next time. But still, sigh.
As always, the split vote means only the four people voting for Brendan (Stephen, Taj, Coach, Debbie) received VFB credit here.
- Brendan received 4 votes, from Stephen, Taj, Coach, and Debbie (voted out, 4-3-2).
- Sierra received 3 votes, from JT, Erinn, and Tyson.
- Coach received 2 votes, from Brendan and Sierra.
