Samoa episode 8 detailed immunity challenge spoilers/
speculation |
The
contestants face off in a battle for the blessings of the all-powerful idol necklace!
Sadly, we won't have Foa Foa to kick around anymore as a default
loser guess.
Between the web
promo and the press
photos,
we learn that the immunity challenge curiously takes place two
days after the merge (more time for scrambling, apparently),
and that it's called "Nut Cracker." This appears to be an excellently-timed
(assuming it's still on next week) World Series-themed challenge.
Either that, or they stole it from the baseball minigame in Super
Monkey Ball Banana Blitz. It's essentially Skee-Ball with a baseball
bat. Points for various distances from the tee, with ten points
for hitting it into the net (seen in Mick's shot, below).

Natalie completes the Foa Foa order. |
So who wins? Not clear yet. Mick and Natalie
appear to barely get it into the "1" zone, so it may not take
much of a score to win this one.
Update: The new CBS site video "Change
of Plans,"
shows the new merged tribe heading to tribal council, which also
includes the immunity necklace on one of the IC winners: John
(as pointed out by smokeitgood at
Sucks). And
there's also a shot (as first noted by crocophile at
MeSS) of
co-winner Laura with her own necklace. So John and Laura each
win an individual immunity necklace:
