Samoa episode 14 detailed F5 immunity challenge spoilers/
speculation |
All
the shots in the ads (so far) are restricted to the points leading
up to the final five IC, but don't show anyone actually competing.
Which is fine, we guess, since the one shot of the pre-IC lineup
shows a bit of the course. Note that the hiking shots all appear
to be pre-challenge because Russell and Brett's buffs match exactly
the pre-challenge lineup shot (as do everyone's clothes), which
is pretty unlikely to be true after a physical challenge such
as this one.
This challenge appears to be a basic obstacle
course, although we're probably only seeing part of it. Behind
the lined-up
contestants, we see a net run, a couple of balance beams, and
a post with a bag (possibly bags) tied to it. We're going to
go out on a limb here, and predict that the bag has puzzle pieces
in it. You heard it here first (actually, probably heard it in
your head first, the second we said "bag"). So yeah,
obstacle course followed by a puzzle.
Update: We originally
had the shot of Brett in the red headband as the F4 IC, but upon
further review, the buff he's wearing underneath is identically
positioned to the other shots from this challenge. So it's merely a
shot of Brett at the starting line, as Probst prepares to say
his usual "Survivors
ready? Go!" bit
at the start of the F5 IC.

So who wins? Since Brett doesn't
get booted, we'd guess he wins a third straight immunity challenge
here. As for more airtight logic, Brett appears to be in the
yellow lane for this one, and yellow appears to be the color
the Survivor gods smile upon now in challenges. Can't poke a
hole in that theory! (Update: apparently you can, since he's
actually in the red lane. Shock! Awe!)
