Here's a gallery of various Holly pics from the press coverage of the Survivor: Nicaragua cast reveal, as well as the pre-Ep1 ads that CBS has aired:
After being scooped by SurvivorSucks, CBS today issued a press release confirming that Survivor: Nicaragua will indeed feature an "old vs. young" tribe breakdown (at least initially). In addit5on, @CBSTweet sent out this (mostly concealed) pre-game picture of the entire cast (for those scoring at home, taken 6/12, or two days before filming began; click the picture to enlarge):
Survivor Sucks poster Sabina Sperber posts the following tidbits about a South Dakota woman allegedly away filming Survivor: Nicaragua...
"A co-worker of mine told me that she knows a couple whose granddaughter is off in Nicaragua filming the show.
She's from Eureka SD, lives on a cattle ranch, in her mid-40's and married to a state legislator. Her daughter was Miss Teen South Dakota.
The name I received is Holly Hoffman."
As originally discovered by smokeitgood at Survivor Sucks, a friend of Holly's named "JaneH" posted this on Yahoo! answers (shortly after filming started), in response to the question, "Are you friends with any famous people?":
"Me: not really.... And my good friend, Holly Hoffman, is going to be on the next season of Survivor! My cousin, Taylor Mehlhaff, is a football player. He was signed with the Vikings but got cut... so we'll see how that goes. And that's it! You?"
As originally discovered by smokeitgood at Survivor Sucks, South Dakota area blogger Jeff Bahr made the following observation (after contestants had left for Nicaragua, but shortly before filming began):
" We still have not been able to get ahold of Holly Hoffman to ask if she's been chosen for Survivor."
Circa 2010-ish: Basic biographical info about Holly Hoffman:
Her husband is South Dakota state representative Charles B. Hoffman (R), who lists his occupation as cattle rancher, first ran for state office in 1998, and has served as a state representative since 2008. Info:
