January 3, 2007: Shortly
after Glutwein's posts (see below) MayanSun (also of SurvivorFever)
connects the "Alex", lawyer guy to what appears to be the correct
person:
" I wonder if this is the
28 year old Alex. Harvard Educated. Lives in L.A., has a Spanish
surname and just registered a domain in December.
Resemblance??? (Hair is longer in promo)
Alex Angarita"

January 2, 2007: New
Sucks poster Glutwein contributes the following early tips
about Alex:
[Contestant featured in promo as the 'Harvard-educated lawyer']...
"is actually Colombian, no Indian/Middle-Eastern, and
he lives in LA."
and...
"His name is Alex. He's 28, around
6'2, brown hair, green eyes, lives in LA, used to work as an
attorney."

December
17, 2006: Jeff Probst's voiceover from the Survivor:
Fiji preview (replete with actual contestant photos,
as far as we know) that aired during the Survivor:
Cook Islands reunion show:
"Coming in the new year... Survivor turns
the tables on two tribes, as one lives the life of luxury,
while the other is left with virtually nothing. For the first
time, there will be 19 new Survivors. This
diverse cast, with lifestyles ranging from a Harvard-educated
lawyer to a once-homeless street performer, will be
forced to battle each other more fiercely than ever before.
Crawling with thousands of deadly sea snakes, Exile Island
will be more treacherous than ever. This time, two
immunity idols and a twist will drastically complicate the
game. And one of the most controversial decisions ever
made by a Survivor will have America talking. Who will outwit,
outplay and outlast all the others? Join us next time, for
the premiere of Survivor: Fiji."

Kelly, writing for the Harvard Law School News |
2003: Graduated
from Harvard Law School. In May, was mentioned in a story in
the Harvard Law School News, about the Harvard Boxing
Club:
"'The workout is pretty intense,' says Gurkoff,
who has been helping to lead club workouts since he arrived
at HLS in the fall of 2001. 'When I first started, it
wasn't uncommon for someone to throw up.' But
that fact hasn't scared anyone away. Indeed, Gurkoff's emphasis
on conditioning, leadership and the fundamentals of boxing
has drawn a steady crowd of students--both men and women--from
across the university, including fellow law students Alex
Angarita '03 and Scott Levin '04."
(He apparently continued to participate in boxing/ kickboxing
after he graduated).
|
1999: Graduated
from University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor's degree
in Economics.
