Survivor: Cook Islands episode 5 detailed RC spoilers/ speculation
We're sure you'll be thrilled and amazed to watch a bunch of starving people run around and embarrass themselves for food. Or blankets. Or some such other gaudy trinkets. Looks like this week, it's a nice gift basket, featuring a bunch of rocks. Yum!
Actually, on closer inspection, it appears to be beverages, specifically white wine. Because it's not fun and games until someone's falling down drunk. Although we should note that popular opinion appears to be that bathing/hygiene products are (also) included, which seems a reasonable guess for the many other items filling the basket, that appear to be wrapped up in leaves. Soap was presented similarly last season, anyway. But those are still wine bottles. Maybe the lush producers re-filled their empty Sauvignon Blanc bottles with shampoo to give away to the contestants (hooray for screwcaps!), but we calls 'em as we sees 'em.
As for the challenge (as with 50% of this season's challenges so far), you've seen this before. Here it's the time-tested: get the contestants to hold onto increasing amounts of weight, until eventually, all but one (or maybe two) drop out challenge. The big new development here is the challenge is done in pairs. Whoo!
Actually, we meant Who? As in, who wins? Not Sundra of the Spiky Armpits, who appears to drop out fairly quickly (with a lot fewer bags than Nate and Adam are shown with). And Becky and Cao Boi appear to be on the sidelines as well. The rest... hard to say. Seems likely that the Nate-Adam pair would be in it to the end, but do they win, or do they ultimately try hard and fail? Yul would seem like their prime competition, but that depends on who he's paired with.
Not clear who wins, and no evidence of wine bottles laying around in the camps, either. We'll guess Rarotonga loses, just because they seem to be developing a habit of it.
