Cook Islands episode 3 tribal re-shuffling spoilers/

 According
to CBS, the coming week's episode features: "An unexpected
twist shocks the Survivors," which matches Probst and Burnett's
repeated pre-Ep1 promises that the ethnically-based tribes
would not last long. And the new ads show that is indeed
the case. Although the new ads (at right) also suggest they
cloned Sundra and disappeared Brad in the interim (which
would indeed be a surprise to the octopus Brad catches).
So with 18 left, there are two possibilities
for a new alignment: two tribes of nine, or three tribes
of six. We thought the latter might be a better option,
because it allows an easy double boot mechanism (both IC-losing
tribes) for at least the next few episodes, handily whittling
down the outsized cast numbers.What did they do instead?
Two tribes of nine, of course.
Saturday's picture-in-picture promo shows
the new tribes in action (caps below). The 10-second ad that
followed showed the full (new) Aitutaki tribe, minus Cecilia
(who presumably is leading the pack, carrying the tribal
flag). So not much mystery as to who goes where.
Also, the web promo shows the mechanism
of the switching: squeezing paint pellets filled with either
blue or red paint. Because if there's one thing the contestants
need, it's to be a little dirtier.
