As Miss Delaware 2011, Katie hopes to continue the success had by other pageant girls out on the island. 'Obviously, looks — they're not a bad thing to stare at when your out on an island for 39 days, so I think pageant girls really do have the entire package in this game.' But Katie's favorite Survivor won't be winning any beauty awards. 'Russell is awesome. If anyone doesn't like him, they're crazy.'"

- (5/25/12) Sucks poster liskd identified Katie Hanson was as a potential contestant, as a recently added facebook friend of Angelia Layton. But at that time, it was unclear whether she was merely a fellow pageant queen, or a post-Survivor friend. However, as more contestants emerged, several (Roxanne, Malcolm) also had Katie as a facebook friend, making her seem much more plausible as an actual contestant. And we all know there couldn't be a modern season of Survivor without at least two beauty queens. (That and longtime spoiling pariah missyae, via his minions at SurvivorFever.net, insisted she was an actual contestant.)
